Ava continues to be excited about the new addition. He is a very active little guy, and she gets lots of opportunities to feel him kicking when she sits in (what's left of) my lap. We hope it'll be a smooth transition for her when he is actually here and taking up lots of time and attention! I think the grandparents will be wonderful in being around lots to play with her or take care of the baby so we can still have one-on-one time with her, too. I do get a little sad when I have a quiet moment with Ava and realize that life, as she knows it, is going to change soon. I'm sure it'll be a change for the better in the long run, but as an only child myself, it's a little hard to imagine right now.
The nursery is pretty much ready - we just need some diapers and toiletries, and I think we're pretty much set! (It's much easier (and cheaper) the second time around). And thanks to a couple of friends who've had little boys in the past year, we're even well-stocked in the clothing department.
