Since this is my first entry, I thought I would backtrack a little to a couple of our favorite activities so far this summer. In June, we spent four days in Kentucky, visiting family. This was Ava's first airplane ride, and she was a great little traveler! We stayed with my cousin, Melanie, and her family, and Ava loved hanging out with her "cousins," Lilly (6), John (3) and Violet (1). Oma and Opa stayed with my aunt, better known to the children as Omi, so we got to see a lot of them, too. We celebrated Omi's 50th birthday on Saturday; Joe and I went to an arena football game with Melanie and Wes (Green Bay beat Louisville!); we went swimming in Omi's pool and just had fun hanging out and playing with the kids.
